Supporting Teachers

Pasadena Unified School District Teachers and Administrators are key to providing excellence in the education of our students. PEF provides services and opportunities for teachers in many ways, ranging from opportunities for grants for classroom projects to support for professional development to employment.

Field Trip Fund
With a grant from the Helen and Will Webster Foundation, PEF is able to award approximately $50,000 to fund field trips for students throughout the year.  To apply, please use the form found here.

Teacher Grant Program
The PEF Teacher Grant Program provides students with important tools and learning experiences. This program is a vital resource for students, teachers and principals and funds equipment and instructional materials that enhance the curriculum and increase student achievement. All certificated personnel in the Pasadena Unified School District are eligible to apply for classroom and student-centered projects. Proposals may be submitted by individual teachers, teams of teachers, or PUSD certificated personnel. Learn more.

Become a PEF Ambassador
PEF's Teacher Ambassadors help to build excellence in our public schools by serving as a proactive liason between their schools and PEF.  Ambassadors relay information about PEF's programs and opportunities to their schools and find the best way to get it into the hands of students, their families, teachers, and administrators.  They also provide PEF with news and information about their schools so that PEF can most effectively serve their schools' needs.

Grant Opportunities and Resources for Teachers
PEF compiles grant opportunities and maintains a subscription to an online foundation directory. Below is a listing of some ongoing grant opportunities and resources for teachers. If you would like further information, please contact Linda Machida at lmachida@pasedfoundation.org
