PROGRAM BEGINS AT 6 PM - RECEPTION TO FOLLOW

“Virgin Galactic is creating and building something new and exciting:
 the world’s first commercial spaceline.”

Special Guest Speaker
STEVE ISAKOWITZ
President, Virgin Galactic

Steve Isakowitz has broad leadership responsibilities in developing the first commercial spaceline including the company’s suborbital spaceflight program and its satellite launch offering, LauncherOne. Prior to joining Virgin Galactic, Steve held a wide variety of senior engineering, business, and management roles across the private and government sectors including NASA, where he served as Deputy Associate Administrator for the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate. At NASA, he helped set overall priorities, guide development of innovative technologies and systems, and architected new programs in robotic and human spaceflight. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Energy through two presidential administrations.

Note: CEO George Whitesides was previously scheduled to be the guest speaker but will be out of the country. We are thrilled to have the always inspiring Virgin Galactic President Steve Isakowitz as our new guest speaker.

"The arts excite the imagination, stimulate individual creativity,
and enhance learning.”

Exemplary Service Award
JOAN PALMER

A long-time arts advocate, City of Pasadena Arts Commission member, and PEF Board member, Joan was involved with the creation of many significant community arts programs including the USC Pacific Asia Museum, 2005 Cultural Nexus Plan, and the Armory Center for the Arts.  Joan was the driving force in creating the My Masterpieces curriculum that includes a visit to each of Pasadena’s museums by every PUSD student over the course of their K-6 education.
