FANSS Challenge
Families and Neighbors Supporting Schools
This year marks the 40th year of the Pasadena Educational Foundation. Started in 1971, the Pasadena Educational Foundation has raised over $100 million for PUSD schools. Two years ago, the Foundation initiated a new support group called FANSS (Families and Neighbors Supporting Schools). The initiative is directed at encouraging parents and community members to support of the schools of the PUSD.
This year, the Foundation is presenting a challenge to the community. For every contribution made to a participating school, the Foundation will match that contribution, dollar for dollar, to a maximum of $2,500. Consequently, your gift of $25, $50, $100 or more will automatically double. The funds are designated for projects defined by the principal and parents at each school. For information regarding the projects at the participating schools, please contact the PEF office: 626.396.3625.
In this time of severe budget cuts, the FANSS Challenge is a wonderful opportunity for all of us – parents, families, friends, neighborhood associations, businesses and community groups – to come together in support of our PUSD schools.
How to Donate
You can donate to the school and project of your choice. PEF uses PayPal to securely process donations. On the second step of the PayPal donation process, there will be a space for you to designate your school.
The Pasadena Educational Foundation is grateful to the generosity of an anonymous donor for making this year's FANSS challenge possible.
