The Pasadena Educational Foundation helps support the Pasadena Unified School District by raising funds via grants and foundation in a variety of ways.
PEF offers technical assistance to the PUSD by coordinating and writing grant applications to government agencies as requested by the PUSD. In recent years grant applications have brought over $5 million annually to PUSD projects from government grants. More about grantwriting here >>

PEF also writes grants to foundations and corporations to support education initiatives in the PUSD.

Thanks to a grant from the Pasadena Community Gardens Conservancy to PEF and PUSD, the new Madison Elementary school community garden will bring families, school staff, and the community together to cultivate a healthy environment and serve as an outdoor classroom for more than 430 Madison Elementary students.
Pasadena Educational Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a $75,000 grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation. These funds will support the five Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) Healthy Start Family Centers located at Madison, Jackson, and Cleveland Elementary Schools, Eliot Middle School, and the Education Center.
